Face-to-face Conversation

Face-to-face conversations are an essential and founding component of FEAST. We do not prioritise text. Writing is a supplement, an addition to the dialogue that enables us to weave together and relate conversations.

People meet in physical space, and they talk. The space may be formal or informal. It may be over a drink, a cup of tea, a meal, or in a workshop setting. What matters is the focus on conversation. FEAST aims to create and encourage people to meet in any setting conducive to natural and open conversation.

In addition, we do not simply pass these considerations over to the naive idea that the use of media and technology as we currently use it addresses the need for proper dialogue. Nor do we consider dialogue in its general conception to be enough. We are not satisfied with a simple combination of media and discussion.
